PVP K30 polymer has excellent solubility in water and a range of organic solvents and is pH stable. It can form glossy transparent films and has adhesive, cohesive and dispersive properties.
Applications
- Cosmetics: PVP K30 is used as film-forming agent, viscosity enhancer and emulsion stabilizer in creams and lotions and as a dispersant for hair colorants. It also can be used toothpastes and mouthwashes.
- Pharmaceutical industry: PVP K30 is a good excipient, mainly used as binder for tablet and pellet, dissolving assistant for injection, flow assistant for capsule, dispersant for liquid medicine and pigment, stabilizer for enzyme and heat sensitive drugs, etc.
- Agrochemicals: PVP K30 is used as adhesive and viscosity enhancer.
